Gateway Foundation offers virtual addiction treatment online in the comfort of your home or office. Utilizing the same core evidence-based curriculum Gateway is known for, participants receive the same quality of care in the virtual outpatient program. Given today’s environment, many people are not able to go out to a program and prefer to stay at home, while still needing addiction treatment services. Participants can choose programs from:
Utilizing our telehealth platform, participants see and engage with our therapists and other participants in the group. A combination of group therapy, individual therapy, psycho-educational groups, assignments and other treatment modalities are used in our interactive sessions. Topics include co-occurring disorders, relapse prevention, addiction therapy, mindfulness and creative recovery, among other topics discussed. Attendance days and times can differ based on location. Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) is available as well.

If you are considering online substance abuse treatment via Gateway Connect, you may be wondering how it works. Who will be there on the other end of your telehealth sessions? Thanks to the power of technology, our online outpatient program mirrors many of our in-person treatment components — just through a different medium. We use HIPAA-compliant teleconferencing platforms that allow you to see and hear the other participants in your group and individual counseling sessions.
During your individual therapy sessions, you will meet one-on-one with a licensed substance use disorder counselor. Group counseling includes others who are also participating online. Your facilitator will note who is involved for documentation purposes. Other than that, you can choose to share as much or as little as you wish during these group discussions. You can also limit your video and audio access.
While telehealth group counseling may feel more removed and less personal, many prefer it, as it opens up a wide range of possibilities for building stronger relationships virtually. Online addiction treatment allows you to form bonds with no physical limitations. You may find you have more time and ability to join virtual communities that would have been too far away if they were in person. Our virtual hub includes support services that can boost your recovery efforts.
