Gateway has provided a comprehensive array of residential and outpatient substance abuse treatment and recovery services to the criminal justice population since opening its doors in 1968. Gateway currently operates treatment programs for men, women, adolescents, special needs, and dual diagnosis clients involved in the criminal justice system. Our treatment approach is based on decades of experience, evidence-based and best practices, training, and research. Services are gender-responsive and trauma-informed.
Throughout its 50+ years of service, Gateway has worked closely with the criminal courts, drug courts, and various correctional entities to support our clients both during their incarceration and as they transition from the criminal justice system back into the community. As the largest non-profit corrections treatment provider, Gateway currently serves 7 states (Florida, Georgia, Michigan, Missouri, New Jersey, Texas, and Wyoming) in both in-custody and Community Corrections settings.
