Calling all Gateway alumni!
We are excited to announce Gateway Foundation’s Alumni Art Contest, kicking off this May. This is your chance to showcase your artistic talents, inspire others, and contribute to the positive message of recovery by showcasing your artwork at our annual fundraising event in the fall.
How to Participate:
- Eligibility: The contest is open to Gateway alumni. We are looking for two-dimensional art on canvas that is ready to be displayed. This is an opportunity to share your story through art and inspire others on their recovery journey. All art skill levels accepted!
- Accepted Art Forms: We will accept art pieces on canvas (minimum size: 11 x 14; maximum size: 16 x 20) made with paint, watercolor, oil painting, charcoal, drawings, and colored pencils.
- Submission Requirements: Submit a well-lit photo of your artwork along with the completed art submission form to Lauren Esula at lesula@gatewayfoundation.org. Your artwork should be inspirational and focus on the positives of recovery.
Important Dates:
- Submission Period: May 5 – July 31, 2025. Send in your photos of art submissions during this time.
- Deadline for Submissions: July 31, 2025.
- Final Judging: In August, the judging panel consisting of staff, board members, and an art expert will vote to choose the top art submissions, which will then be shipped to Gateway Foundation to be displayed at Gateway’s fundraising luncheon.
Event and Awards:
- Benefit Luncheon: The top artists will receive a complimentary ticket to attend Gateway Foundation’s “Connecting for Recovery” Benefit Luncheon on Thursday, September 18, 2025 where your artwork will be displayed and voted on by event guests.
- First Place Prize: The winner will receive a basket of art supplies to further your creative journey.
