A Supportive Place to Heal

Opening soon, the Aurora Recovery Home will offer 32 beds—16 for men and 16 for women—and provide a safe, structured environment for individuals in early recovery. Whether stepping down from residential treatment or coming directly from the community, residents will have the support they need to take the next step in their recovery journey.

All Recovery Home residents will also engage in on-site outpatient services, creating a seamless continuum of care that promotes long-term success.

Why Recovery Homes Matter

Recovery doesn’t end when treatment does. Recovery Homes provide a critical bridge between intensive treatment and independent living, offering:

  • Stability during a vulnerable transition period
  • Structure and accountability that reinforce healthy routines
  • Community and connection that reduce the risk of relapse

This facility will offer more than just a place to stay—it will be a place to rebuild, reconnect, and grow stronger every day.

Part of a Bigger Vision

The Aurora Recovery Home is part of a broader, statewide investment by Gateway Foundation to reimagine how and where we deliver care. In the last two years alone, Gateway has invested over $20 million into upgrading campuses throughout Illinois—and this project is a cornerstone of that effort.

The Aurora site, when complete, will represent a $10–11 million investment, and this Recovery Home is just the beginning. Future upgrades include a new food service and dining facility that will benefit all campus residents
