Dave Woods brings over 30 years of behavioral Health and substance use experience prior to joining Gateway Foundation in August 2020. After receiving his BS in psychology from Loyola University of Chicago, he began his career as an inpatient counselor for nine years before moving into business development then operations and administration. This experience brings a unique insight and perspective for the provision of programs and services to those in need.

Dave has held progressively responsible roles as Director of Business Development, Director of Intake, Program Director, Senior Director, Associate CEO and Vice President of Operations with other healthcare companies encompassing both single and multiple location oversight.

Dave obtained his MBA in 2005 and holds Silver certification in LEAN for Team Leadership of Mission Control, Value Stream Scoping and Analysis, Pull Systems, Standard Work, 6S, Visual Management and establishing a Model Flow Cell, as well as certification in FEMA Incident Command System.

Dave believes that everyone should have the same access to high quality care and services, and is honored every day to work alongside such a caring and highly dedicated group of people here at Gateway Foundation.

Dr. Keith Sarpolis has over 37 years of diverse experience focused on substance use disorder and internal medicine. He approaches healthcare from a holistic perspective, believing that the treatment of both the physical and psychosocial aspects of a patient’s health is critical.

Dr. Sarpolis earned his medical degree from the University of Michigan Medical School.

In her current role since 2021, Dianne oversees the Lake Villa Adult program, is involved with recruiting, training and retention of program staff, promotes continuous improvement in delivery of treatment services and provide staff with information on changes to policies and procedure and organizational updates.

Dianne Robinson, joined Gateway Foundation in 2001 as a Counselor I and has been promoted through Counselor II, Milieu Supervisor, Clinical Supervisor and Program Director.  Dianne has given her entire professional career to Gateway Foundation and its patients.  While employed with Gateway Foundation she has completed her education and received professional license/certification as a (LCSW)Licensed Clinical Social Worker, (CRADC) Certified Reciprocal Alcohol /Drug Counselor, and (CODP) Co-occurring Disorders Professional.

Dianne is a dedicated professional who places a priority on her patients and meeting their unique treatment needs.  Dianne is compassionate, empathic, a team player and an excellent mentor.  She was awarded Counselor of the Year 2022 by the Illinois Association of Addiction Professionals.

Jack Flight holds state licenses as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a certification as a Registered Dual Diagnosis Professional. Currently Jack is a Program Director at Gateway Foundation Lake Villa. Immediately prior to this assignment, Jack was the Program Director of EDGE Programs at EDGE Advance offering a transitional program for young adults who are Neurodiverse with or without comorbid mental health needs.

Over his career, Jack has held leadership positions in residential, group home and acute hospital settings where his passion and expertise in supporting diverse children, adolescents, and adults, many with co-occurring mental health issues could be utilized. Jack’s passion comes both from his professional and personal experiences.

Jack is a graduate of Dominican University’s Graduate School of Social Work where he currently is an adjunct facility member. Jack has also been an adjunct faculty member at Harper College. Jack has a passion for developing and guiding students and young clinicians as they prepare and begin their clinical careers. He also has consulted for community mental health agencies.

Jack serves as an Advisory Board Member at Dominican University and is active on several community committees and work groups. He has conducted workshops and training both in house and in the community to address specific identified needs and special interest. His interests include working with individuals with Neurodiversity, Trauma Informed Care, Attachment, both Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Radically Open DBT, Acceptance Commitment Therapy, Play Therapy, and Psychopathology. Jack also provides individual and group supervision to practicing clinicians.
