Recovery Stories

At Gateway, we know everyone’s journey of recovery is unique. Sharing the stories of recovery is a powerful way to honor the strength of those who are overcoming substance use disorders and show that recovery is possible.

Denise’s Story

Lindsey

Lindsey celebrates recovery with clarity and gratitude. She credits Gateway for giving her the foundation, and she continues her recovery through daily practices: attending AA meetings, holding herself accountable, and hobbies like writing.

“Treatment feels overwhelming, but it’s such a short time compared to what you get back. A month for a lifetime—it’s worth it.”

Share Your Recovery Story

At Gateway, our alumni are important to us. Through our Alumni Recovery Community, former patients are able to connect with others in recovery and lend a hand to those who are just beginning their journeys. We encourage everyone engaged in the Recovery Community to share their unique roads to addiction and back out again. Hearing these stories and knowing that their not alone can encourage others no matter where they are on their journey.

If you’re one of the thousands of people who have come out the other side of addiction through Gateway and would like to share your story, please let us know how we’ve changed your life by filling out the form below. You can also give us a call at 888-507-2586 to find out how you can get more involved in the Gateway Alumni Recovery Community.
