Connecting for Recovery

Jessica’s Story

Dwayne

“A little over 7 years ago I decided to seek treatment for alcohol and drug addiction and chose this facility as a place to try and arrest my disease and I have been clean and sober ever since. After 30 days inpatient treatment and 9 months outpatient I was able to achieve that goal. Since going to Gateway, I went from being a broke, hungry and homeless, pitiful excuse for a human being. To being an employed, sheltered, car owning productive member of the community. Lying and stealing have been replaced by honesty and trust, loneliness into friendships, despair into hope. my life has done a complete 180 turn thanks to this foundation. I recommend this facility to anyone who truly wants freedom from active addiction.”

Share Your Recovery Story

At Gateway, our alumni are important to us. We know how hard they’ve worked to overcome their disease and how hard they continue to work to live a sober life. Through our Alumni Recovery Community, former patients are able to connect with others in recovery and lend a hand to those who are just beginning their journeys. They’re able to participate in sober events, attend group therapy and run support groups.

One of the best ways that we’ve found alumni can support new patients is through their stories of recovery. We encourage everyone engaged in the Recovery Community to share their unique roads to addiction and back out again. Hearing these stories and knowing that their not alone can encourage
