Chicago, IL — 4/15/2026 — Jeremy Klemanski, President and Chief Executive Officer of Gateway Foundation, was named as one of Crain’s Chicago Business’ 2026 Notable Leaders in Health Care. This prestigious recognition honors executives who are shaping the future of healthcare through measurable impact within their organizations and communities.

Klemanski brings more than 30 years of experience in behavioral health, specializing in substance use disorder and mental health treatment. Since becoming President & CEO in 2023, he has led Gateway Foundation’s continued national growth across eight states, overseeing approximately 1,350 employees and a $160 million budget. His leadership and work is helping close critical gaps in access to care at a time when the demand for substance use and mental health services continues to rise.

“I’m honored to be recognized by Crain’s Chicago Business alongside leaders who are working to move healthcare forward,” said Klemanski. “At Gateway, we’re focused on expanding access, advancing integrated care, and ensuring more people can get the treatment they need. This recognition reflects the work our team is doing every day to drive meaningful change in behavioral health.”

Klemanski is also known for founding the Helio Health training institute in New York, establishing one of the nation’s first Certified Behavioral Health Clinics, and launching programs that serve more than 40,000 patients annually. He has also led numerous mergers in the behavioral health space and consulted with or troubleshot others to help bring organizations together.
